nineteenth century as a Spa town and has
a history of providing quality health care
in a pleasant environment. Harrogate has
retained much of the original character of
the Spa. The town is renowned as a floral
town with two major flower shows and is
also the home for the Great Yorkshire
Show. It is now a major centre for
conferences, exhibitions and tourism.
Harrogate is situated at the gateway to the
Yorkshire Dales. This vibrant community
has a wealth of amenities to offer in a
beautiful setting.
Briardene is a spacious Victorian style semi-detached house,
with accommodation for 10 residents and also incorporates the
adjoining ground floor flat accommodating a further three
residents in a semi independent unit. It is located close to
Harrogate town centre. Briardene provides a quality service for
people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and some
challenging behaviour. The house is ideally situated close to
many local provisions and places of interest to our client group
such as the local Gateway, PHAB and The Junction as well as
being close to the shopping centre, Asda, the cinema and the
railway and bus stations. We also feel it is important that
Briardene remains a homely environment where the residents
can feel at home. Over the years we have put a great deal of
effort into this by encouraging the residents to make Briardene
their home. Although the rooms are fully furnished residents can
choose the decoration for their own room, bring along their own
furniture, have input into how the communal areas are
decorated. Read the CQC review here.
